The Board of Directors and Advisory Board of the Liberace Foundation received the sad news of the passing of famed Liberace costume designer, Michael Travis. Mr. Travis passed away at his California home last night after a long illness. Friends and family were at his side. He was 86.
The designer of many of the best-known and most extravagant of Liberace’s stage costumes, the genius of Michael Travis became only more recognized with time and is featured in many studies of his craft, including the book “Liberace Extravaganza”.
